Wroes Department Store

www.wroes.co.uk

Wroes Department StoreWroes of Bude is Cornwall's largest independent department store, offering a wonderful selection of products in relaxed, modern surroundings. The family business was established nearly 90 years ago and now has 4 stores across Devon and Cornwall. Wroes required a website to promote the company, offer more to customers, and generate extra revenue through online sales.

With stores throughout Devon and Cornwall in Bude, Holsworthy, Launceston, and Wadebridge - Wroes are a well established and known brand. The website had to promote the brand encompassing the core values of the company, whilst appealing to new markets through the use of the Internet. A key aspect of the project was to retain the balance between providing information about the stores (such as opening times) and selling products through E-Commerce. It was essential that the website was easy and quick for visitors to locate information whilst making it clear that the products are available to purchase online.

Wroes Department Store"We are extremely pleased with our new website. On its first day it pulled a customer into the store and on its second, we received an email sales enquiry. We have had really positive feedback on the design from everybody who has seen it during the development phase." said Ronney Ball.

The website boasts an advanced search tool using the latest in web technology, AJAX. Google Maps are integrated directly into the website to allow visitors to easily locate the stores online. An important requirement was for the checkout process to be simple. As a result, the checkout was kept to just 3 simple steps.

Ronney continues, "We certainly believe that the site will achieve its targets and enable us to communicate more effectively and cheaply with our customers.".
